A bit of a late post, but a must share! Before heading over to Vienna, Austria in preparations of last weeks opening at Inoperable Gallery, ROA spent a few days in Örebro, Sweden for the OpenART international outdoor exhibition. Usually ROA paints animals native to the area he is painting in, so for this wall he shared with us his first ever narwhal, given the proximity of Sweden to the Arctic. In ROA's words "their tusks make them unique. In a way they're like mythical sea creatures, like unicorns of the oceans. This young male has unfortunately got caught in a fishing hook. Like many other species they are victims of hunting and pollution.” Be sure to check out some progress shots on OpenART's site here.
