Still in India, AEC of Interesni Kazki has painted quite a few more murals throughout Varkala [Kerala], India. All of them are absolutely mystifying, but this particular one "Fishing with the Sun" stood out to me in a delightful way. It's a beautiful melding of folklore as influenced by the modern world, with the fishing boats "airplane" wings detailed right down to the faux "Indian flag" tail just as seen on plane tips. Here AEC also shows off the elephant as a guide through the heavens who is leading the fisherman to success, whether it be in fishing or in life (perhaps an ode to Ganesha). You should check out their blog here for details of this piece and the other beautiful culturally inspired whimsical pieces done in Varkala... recommend it!
