Sustainable Hump Day

The Pixel Building in Australia is the first carbon neutral office building. This experimental green building includes photovoltaic panels and wind turbines on the roof to generate 100% of the electricity required by the building; recycled content in the concrete mix that halves its embodied energy; water collection to provide water and reduce sewerage output; and those colorful "leafs" regulate the entry of sunlight into the building and permits natural cross-ventilation. Let's hope this type of construction spreads!
