Invited by the Antonio Gala Foundation to the city of Cordoba, Spain where the foundations headquarters are located, Axel Void painted this mural along with Javier Sande at the Garden of Orive for the Interartisticos Encounters II. Javier's "work deals with the daily life of the small village he lived in all his life, Roo, in Galicia, Spain." [Axel] was interested in making public in a mural what [Javier] considers to be private. Something so routinely and concrete like the action in [the above] image, his grandmother and his aunt sitting together, peeling potatoes, can translate to a general quotidian routine, with the intention of creating empathy."
